At Brains on Fire, we believe that sparking conversation and creating momentum for what you do, make or provide begins by finding and celebrating the shared passions between your company, your employees and your customers.
This is not a short-term effort; it’s hard work, but it’s also totally worth it.
If this sounds interesting, here’s what you can expect:
During the insight phase, we gather knowledge by listening to, learning about and exploring your company, offerings, market, competitors and customers. Brains on Fire will visit your offices to guide you through a series of interviews and visual exercises designed to help us become students of your business. We’ll have deep conversations with your biggest fans to learn why they love you so much and how your brand or organization fits into their lives. We’ll also explore brands, communities and experts beyond your immediate neighborhood.
During phase two, we will focus on developing a single strategic pathway, and then develop a detailed plan to bring your community to life. The plan will also include components such as naming, brand identity, engagement tools, community content recommendations, community management plan, digital direction and recommendations for success measurement.
Upon approval of strategy, we will enter phase three: implementation. This is where we launch your community. If we suggest lead advocates, they will be recruited, selected and trained using a custom curriculum based on Brains on Fire’s community management expertise. Ongoing management of the community will be coordinated by Brains on Fire, a client internal team, or a combination of the two. The implementation phase also includes development of an online platform, as well as offline conversation tools. This is where and when conversation and passion are ignited, and the community begins to take root.
We won’t tell you this is an easy process, but we can tell you that this is a better way – and the results are totally worth it. We know from experience that budget fit is a big factor in choosing a partner. So, let’s go ahead and get the money dance out of the way.
Insight and strategy development for a Community-Led Movement is a three-month process and starts at $175k. Implementation, which takes place over the following nine months, typically comes in around 2-3x the cost of the insight and strategy phase. Keep in mind that building community isn’t just a financial investment – it’s an investment of mind, heart and passion. In many instances, it’s a whole new way of thinking about and doing business. (And that’s a good thing!)
If this still sounds interesting and you’d like to be one of the four community projects that we take on per year, get your application in lickety-split and we’ll be in touch.
