There won’t be much philosophizing today. Not much advice or ranting.
Today is our second-sometimes-annual Brains on Fire Thanksgiving pool tournament (and to celebrate Robbin’s birthday as well). We’re shutting down the office at 3PM and heading downtown to kick off the tournament…with an open bar, of course.
What I can tell you is that we’re looking forward to it. What I can tell you is that it’s been a good year of learning, but a tough year and steam will be blown off. What I can tell you is that Brains on Fire plays as hard as we work. If you don’t believe me, just read our Tequila Shots handbook. Everything revolves around culture (you know that if you’ve ever interviewed here). We are so many different people from so many different places and different backgrounds and different belief systems, but we truly believe that Brains on Fire is a movement. We make it a point to practice what we preach and part of that is standing shoulder to shoulder and believing that we are all in this together…because we are.
Oh, we have our disfunctions just like any family. But at the end of every day, we know we can laugh about it and love each other for our differences. Culture is at the heart and soul of Brains on Fire.
So let the games begin. (And of course we’ll post pics on Friday.)
