Interactive T-shirts

June 4th, 2007

About two years ago, I wrote about Grafedia, which allows people to hyperlink text messages the find written by hand onto real life, hard surfaces and get back to video, audio and text files. When you find a message in the real world, you text the word to @grafedia.net and you’ll get something sent back to you. Graffiti goes interactive.

Now Wired reports that t-shirts are going the same direction. For twenty bucks, Reactee.com lets users create a message and a keyword, which reactee.com then custom prints and ships. You wear your shirt out and about and when people see it, they text your keyword to 41411 and get a message back that you’ve created.

Will it work? Who knows. But somebody’s using their noggin, even if it’s another medium that’s been added to the crowded mix.

Interactive T-Shirts, great idea. We are putting together a presentation for an organization whose client persona will use this type of viral marketing.

    Thanks
