We’re getting our SWOM on

September 11th, 2008

You know, SWOM. As in SWOMfest. As in the Society for Word of Mouth’s inaugural shindig in Austin on October 30th. As in you should be there.

We’re sending four folks from Brains on Fire HQ because we (heart) Ben and Jackie, there’s an 80’s Halloween party the night before, and the day of the conference there’s not only a live DJ, but Flying Dog is providing free beer all day long. In other words, this is a conference/party. It’s a conty. Or a parfrence.

If you’re a member of the SWOM, you should be there. And if you’re not a member of SWOM, you should sign up and then be there. Why? To rub elbows with some super-cool people, hang out in a city that’s known for a lot of things - including being a music Mecca – and because if you comment on this post, we’ll pick someone at random on Monday and pay for your SWOMfest ticket, plus dinner one night with the Brains on Fire crew.

Seriously. A day to learn about defining your company’s purpose, spreading your company’s story and understanding the cultural science of networks led by two of the people that understand what real word of mouth is and how it works – Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba. And free beer all day. All day people.

Space is limited and filling up, so come on and join the SWOMfest.

I’d love to win! I’m a fan of Ben and Jackie, and on the SWOM. There’s a lot of good conferences this fall and looking forward to Spike and Geno at BlogOrlando in a couple weeks.

I am not sure which is better- attending SWOMfest or getting to dine with the minds at Brains on Fire. If you ever split this offer and gave us a choice, it would be tough to choose.

Thanks for helping to develop our community by making this opportunity available to all of us!

I don’t really want the ticket. Just tell my bosses that I won it. They’ll buy me a ticket to Austin and I can just catch you guys later and grab a drink with you, Huba, McConnel and perhaps the “way worthy” johnmoore?
