How many times have you been a vacation repeater? I’ve never really thought of it that way until my recent trip to Jamaica. My wife and I decided to take a Jamaica vacation as an early Christmas present.

We went to Couples Swept Away in Negril. First let me say I really like Negril, yes a public beach in Jamaica might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But I liked the experience. This was our second Couples vacation experience. We really didn’t consider another resort in Jamaica because our first experience at a Couples resort was so remarkable.

As I was making dinner plans with our concierge, he gave me a printed invitation for Geno and Jennifer as “Repeat Guests” to attend a dinner in our honor. The “Repeaters Dinner” was a perfect blend of casual Jamaican elegance. Ten repeater guests sat with a resort manager. Over 60 repeater guests attended including Couples Chairman Lee Issa.

The food was remarkable and the conversation with the other couples and the managers was a lot of fun. But what really made the evening special for Jennifer and I was the pride the staff and the chefs took in the evening. Every dish was served with pride and all of us guests gave them a standing ovation as the management team introduced the chef staff.

Another nice touch was an email I received from Randy Russell or Randyman on the Couples message board. Randy (Chief Romance Officer) knows how to push those buttons to start dreaming of another Jamaican sunset. Anyone else up for some jerk chicken and a Red Stripe, or a nice filet and lobster tail?
