Tidbits: WOMBAT, Geno and a new RSS feed

March 23rd, 2007

Geno’s back in South Africa. We can’t keep him away from that country. This time, he’s headed out on a weeklong trek across the country with Standard Bank, who is sponsoring the “coffee break” tour. G will be talking to small and mid-sized companies about the intricacies of creating communities. If you’ll miss him as much as we will, you can listen to his voice on a recently recorded podcast over at Jenerous.

The Word of Mouth Marketing Association is hosting another WOM throw-down. This time it’s back to basics with WOMBAT (Word of Mouth Basic Training) in New Orleans, April 17-18. They’re calling it the original “how-to” conference and WOMMA events are among my favorite to meet smart, interesting, and very fun people. They’ve lined up some great thinkers to present at this one, so be sure and check it out. (Disclosure: Brains on Fire is a member of WOMMA and also sits on the Board of Directors.)

I have 16 RSS blog feeds. That’s all I can take. But I added one more recently: The Future of Communities Blog written by a group of super-cool, super-smart people. They tackle some hard topics pertaining to Community 2.0. It is definitely worth the check-out time.

Spike, can I find the rest of your list of feeds in a previous post? It’s kinda like that whole “mix tape” comparison thing. Oh, geez. I’m old.
