Let it Snow…
December 12th, 2006
We don’t get a lot of snow here in South Carolina. I grew up in Denver and I was born in Anchorage… so no snow in the winter is odd for me. So this year, I’m getting my snow virtually. An interesting new media firm called Popular Front (their website is not entirely clear about what they do, but I guess I’d venture to call them an interactive brand experience company… dedicated to finding ways to “engage, entertain and educate” outside the realm of traditional media) has teamed up with The Salvation Army with a pretty cool online endeavor. You made paper snowflakes when you were a kid, right? Folded up the piece of paper and cut out shapes until, when you unfolded it, you had your own unique snowflake? Well… Popular Front has designed a really neat interface for doing it online… and here’s the great part… the more snowflakes that are made, the more Popular Front will donate to The Salvation Army. It’s a forum for them to display their ability to create an engaging online experience while supporting a great cause. And… you can make snowflakes that aren’t even physically possible with just paper and scissors. So drop in and entertain yourself for a while. It’s addictive. And it’s for a great cause.
By the way… If you wanna see mine… just click on the search function and type in Jennifer, Greenville, SC, 12/12/06. I’m so artistic.
