One of my favorite things about my calling is that I get to see a lot of new places and meet a lot of very cool people. Last week I had the opportunity to travel with Cordell and Robbin to the nation’s capital.

And while I love that town, I realized that it’s all about politics and bureaucracy. Yes, they can be GREAT things, but they also can be areas that can stifle the growth and general well-being of a company. You can use them to your advantage or ignore them at your own peril. The key is to know what to look for and where to look. Smart companies are the ones that figure this out early and keep an eye on it often.
