Changing the Real Estate Game

December 13th, 2005

I know I’ve talked about him once before, but I’m absolutely fascinated with what Evan Kane is doing with his company, Endeavor Realty.

Based in Deerfield, Illinois, they “are the only real estate company to compensate our real estate agents based solely on client satisfaction instead of volume, allowing Endeavor Realty agents to focus on negotiating the best possible terms for our clients. This philosophy has lead to a level of customer service never before obtained in the real estate industry.”

Think about it.

The real estate industry feels a lot like the car industry to me. I don’t know who to trust. I always feel like I’m getting screwed. And even though the dealer says he/she is watching out for me and getting the best deal, I know they’re more concerned about their own cut. (Yes, I know this is a broad, general statement about car dealers and real estate agents.) But Evan has introduced a Saturn-esque idea to the real estate industry. He’s creating trust. He’s creating a culture of honesty. And he’s creating a very WOM-able service.

A lot has to happen before the real estate industry will embrace this concept (a couple generations probably have to die off). But I believe it will happen. And Endeavor Realty is showing the way.

Hmmm… Can Evan bring some of that to Greenville?
