Where the heck have I been?
November 22nd, 2005
I just realized I haven’t posted in two weeks. Whew. Time. Flies.
We’re celebrating Thanksgiving here at Brains on Fire at a local pool hall this afternoon. I guess you could say it’s our version of “gathering around the table”. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Every day seems to bring us new and exciting possibilities.
As I look back at the work our clients have allowed us to be a part of, I am grateful. It is amazing the trust they show by choosing us to be their partner, and then often by recommending us to others.
I am also so VERY thankful for everyone who chooses to be a part of the Brains on Fire team. Yeah, we’re pretty picky about who gets hired, but I never forget that it is CHOICE to work here. Almost everyone here could be somewhere else in heartbeat. I often hear of offers of more money that amazingly get turned down. It humbles me to say the least.
Speaking of choices, Megan Bryd has just decided to join our team. She is joining us as a work-flow manager and all of us here at Brains on Fire are pretty excited about that! She worked at a large interactive firm in Atlanta (Definition6) for about four years. They have a really great reputation and we think their loss is gonna be our gain. (They lost her in marriage, no fault of their own.)
So this afternoon, we’ll play some pool and drink some beer and take just a little time to be full of thanks. Happy Thanksgiving week to all of you out their reading this!
